When Kurtis was in Australia a few weeks ago, he worked on a few musical projects. One of those artists is Nathan Anderson, based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has shared the stage with such bands as Train, Guster and The Fray, and really has a sound we think you will all love! Check out his official website or head over to his MySpace page and let him know you found him here! Also, let everyone know what you think of Nathan's tunes on our Forums! |

A Message from Kurtis John... |

The following is a post from Kurtis to all fans and friends of the band - it's an update and view into what is to come for The Last Goodnight. After you read his message, head over to the Forums and discuss what you feel about it! Greetings everyone, So after three U.S. tours and a few trips around the world I'm proud to say that the next record is in the making. The boys and I have had the most remarkable and inspiring past year of our lives. From the fans and friends we've made to the unimaginable good times it has truly been a dream come true that we've lived and continue to invent upon. We've survived on very little sleep and a lot of coffee, played through endless video game, brick breaker, and poker rounds, listened to and lost numerous ipods, cell phones, and their chargers, watched more than enough family guy, heroes, x files, and 24 seasons, read books, and "Poison Kiss" reviews both honorable and horrific and jumped from sometimes early but usually late buses, trains and airplanes. All said and done, it has been one hell of a ride and we can't wait to do it all again. So as for the next album, it's much to early to paint a clear picture as to how it will sound upon conclusion but lately I've been over watching movies like, The Deer Hunter, True Romance, Kill Bill, Raging Bull, Natural Born Killers, and Boyz In The Hood. I know these movies may at first glance lead you to believe we're gearing up for writing a very aggressive rap-metal assault, but I'm sure it won't end up as that. So for the meantime lets just say inspirations are all from Beethoven to Bloc Party. As we'll be taking not all but much of these upcoming months off from touring to lock ourselves in bedrooms, basements, studios, and padded rooms from Connecticut to Los Angeles, we'll be letting you all know how the progress is going and of any shows we're doing. Endless love and gratitude to all of you who have supported us and made this journey such an incredible one, we look forward to growing with you. Until the next time, we wish you all the best that life has to offer. Always thankful, Kurtis John |
